# Project API

> Pay-per-call public-data API for AI agents and developers. Each feed returns slim JSON from an official public source with a link back to that source. No account and no API key: an unpaid request gets HTTP 402 with the exact price, and payment is made in USDC using the open x402 protocol.

## How a call works

1. GET a /paid/... endpoint.
2. Without payment the response is HTTP 402. The PAYMENT-REQUIRED header is base64 JSON with scheme, network, amount (USDC base units), asset and payTo.
3. An x402 client (for example @x402/fetch with @x402/evm) signs the payment and retries with a PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header.
4. On success the response is 200 JSON plus a PAYMENT-RESPONSE header with the settlement receipt.
